The Script

Formed in 2001 in Dublin, Ireland, the Script consists of guitarist Marc Sheehan, vocalist Danny O'Donoghue, and drummer Glen Power. The trio takes their soulful, Celtic-inspired sound from artists like Van Morrison and U2, but Sheehan and O'Donoghue's former work as producers (working with the likes of the Neptunes) gives the Script a unique, contemporary sound flavoured by dance and R&B influences. An EP appeared in 2007, followed by the successful single "We Cry." The band's self-titled full-length debut appeared in 2008, and went straight to the top of the U.K. charts.
