The Boo Radleys

Influenced initially by the song craftsmanship of bands like the Beatles, Martin Carr truly came into his own in the 1990s with the explosion of the British "shoegaze" movement. Using the adrenalized sonic rush of feedback for his own ends, Carr soon led the Boos into the wide-open planes of experimentation tempered by cunning pop songcraft. One of the definitive Creation Records bands, the Boo Radleys topped the U.K. charts in 1995 with WAKE UP! Though they never duplicated that accomplishment, they dutifully continue on into the 2000s.
