Pretty Ricky

By saying what all of the other boy bands were thinking, Pretty Ricky hit it big with a decidedly raunchy take on teen-pop. The Miami-based R&B outfit's debut album, BLUESTARS, mixed fairly standard contemporary R&B and dance-pop with cool-high harmonies and slick production on songs that unabashedly celebrated sex and seduction. The group scored with the less-than-subtle hit singles "Grind With Me," "On the Hotline," and "Your Body." Their follow-up album, LATE NIGHT SPECIAL, debuted at number one on the Billboard pop charts in early 2007.
