Mando Diao
Mando Diao belong to the same school of garage rock revivalism as their Scandinavian counterparts the Hives and Hellacopters. However, Mando Diao add a strong dose of the same R&B and soul influences that powered 1960s acts like the Rolling Stones and the Small Faces. The band was formed in Borlange, Sweden, in 1999, and singer Bjorn Dixgard, keyboardist Daniel Haglund, guitarist Gustaf Noren, bassist Carl Fogelklou, and drummer Samuel Geirs released their debut album, Bring 'Em In, in Europe in 2002 and in North America the following year.
