Kano

Born Kane Brett Robinson in Britain, the artist known as Kano is a London-based rapper of Jamaican descent. Alongside Dizzee Rascal and Lady Sovereign, Kano was one of the brighter lights of England's emerging grime scene in the early 2000s. A member of the East London N.A.S.T.Y. Crew, Kano released several hit singles, including "Boys Love Girls," "Typical Me," and "P's and Q's," which appeared on the popular grime compilation RUN THE ROAD. Kano's full-length debut, HOME SWEET HOME, was then released in 2005. The album showcased his manic yet technically precise style, and cemented his reputation as a deft, inventive MC. Mixtapes and a rigorous touring schedule have kept Kano's fans satisfied.
