JLS
British boy band JLS -- short for Jack the Lad Swing -- were best known for placing second behind winner Alexandra Burke on the fifth season of the reality talent show "The X Factor" in 2008. Featuring the vocal talents of Oritsé Williams, Aston Merrygold, Jonathan Gill, and Marvin Humes, JLS formed in London in 2007. Post- "X Factor", JLS signed with Epic Records and released the single "Beat Again" in 2009. JLS's full-length debut album was released later that year.
