A veteran of the L.A. music scene from the early-1990s, Butch Walker, purveyed gritty glam-infused rock with his bands SouthGang and Marvelous 3. After the demise of the latter outfit, Walker launched his solo career in 2002 with LEFT OF SELF-CENTRED, the album played to the artist's strengths on slices of riff-based 70s pop rock. Despite the quality of his recorded output, Walker has enjoyed more success as a songwriter, with acts like Bowling For Soup--"Girl All The Bad Guys Want"--and Avril Lavigne--"My Happy Ending"--enjoying major hits with his compositions. He has also worked behind the scenes as a song doctor and producer for acts as diverse as Pink, Christina Aguilera, the Donnas and Fall Out Boy.
